Filme que está em cartaz e sem muito alarde, pois todos estão focados nos “oscaririzáveis”, esse filme de terror é uma sequencia do filme de 2012 estrelado por Daniel Radcliff (veja aqui a resenha sobre ele), mas que não demanda que conheçamos a história original, pois é totalmente independente. Repete apenas a mesma locação e o mesmo caso de fantasmas.

No ano de 1941, com a Segunda Guerra Mundial em seu auge, as professoras Eve (Phoebe Fox) e Jean (Helen McCrory) fogem de Londres com algumas crianças, para que não sofram com os bombardeios aéreos da Alemanha. Entre as crianças está o menino Edward (Oaklee Pendergast), que na véspera da viagem perdera os pais num bombardeio que atingiu a sua residência. O grupo vai para uma mansão abandonada, numa ilha próxima a um vilarejo também deserto, habitado apenas por um homem. Eve conhece ainda no trem o jovem aviador Harry (Jeremy Irvine). Assim que se estabelecem na casa, Eve começa a ouvir sons e ver vultos. Assustada, tenta entender o que acontece. O mesmo espírito que a assombra também é visto pelo jovem Edward. Esse espírito sedento por vingança tenta matar as crianças e aterroriza a vida deles. Harry tenta descobrir junto com Eve a motivação do mal que o espírito traz e descobrem a história ocorrida nos antes na mansão, quando uma criança morreu afogada no pântano que circunda a casa. Mas aí já é tarde demais e a maldição está prestes a matar todos ali. Eve então precisa relembrar de seu próprio passado, de um trauma de sua adolescência para conseguir lutar contra o espírito maligno.

O filme tem ótima fotografia, muitas cenas de susto que causam gritaria na sala do cinema e risadas nervosas do público. Achei interessante e recomendo para quem curte o gênero de terror como eu.

This movie is on the theatersd without much fanfare, because everyone's focused on the movies that are running the Oscar race. This horror movie is a sequel of the 2012 movie starred by Daniel Radcliff (here's a review about it), but does not demand we to know the original story, as it is totally independent. Just repeats the same location and the same case of ghosts.

On the year of 1941, with World War II at its peak, the teachers Eve (Phoebe Fox) and Jean (Helen McCrory) leave London with some children in order not to not suffer with the aerial bombardment of Germany. Between those children is the boy Edward (Oaklee Pendergast), who had lost his parents in a bombardment struck their residence. The group goes to an abandoned mansion on an island near a small and village also desert, inhabited only by a man. Eve meets on the train the young aviator Harry (Jeremy Irvine). After settle in, Eve starts to hear sounds and see figures. Frightened, tries to understand what is happening. The same spirit that's haunting her is also seen by the young Edward. That spirit thirsty for revenge, tries to kill the children and terrorizes their lives. Together with Harry, Eve researches the house and surroundings looking for the motivation which brings the spirit and they discover a story occurred years before on the mansion when a child drowned on the swamp surrounding the House. But by then it is too late and a curse is about to kill everyone there. Eve then needs to remind her affidavit past, a trauma of her adolescence to fight the evil spirit.

The film has great photography, many scenes of fright cause screaming and nervous laughter in the theater by the audience. I found it interesting and recommend it to anyone who likes the genre of terror as I do.
