Uma longa jornada (filme)

Baseado no livro homônimo do blockbuster Nicholas Sparks, o filme conta a história de dois jovens, a estudante Sophia (Britt Robertson) e o peão montador de touros Luke (Scott Eastwood, sim, filho do Clint). Os dois se conhecem num rodeio e a química é imediata. Com vidas bem diferentes – ela está terminando a faculdade e tem estágio planejado em New York em menos de dois meses e ele vive numa fazenda com sua mãe e trabalha montando touros em rodeios – eles sabem que dificilmente poderão ter um relacionamento duradouro. Na noite de seu primeiro encontro, na estrada eles socorrem o idoso Ira (Alan Alda) que acabara de bater com seu carro. O levam ao hospital e Sophia leva uma caixa com cartas que estava no banco do carro. Ela começa então a ler as cartas para o senhor. As cartas são todas escritas por ele e endereçadas à Ruth (Oona Chaplin) e relatam como eles se conheceram e como viveram durante seu casamento. Luke também visita o senhor no hospital e assim os dois continuam se encontrando. O filme intercala mostrando a juventude de Ira (Jack Huston) e Ruth e o dia a dia dos protagonistas, seus encontros, brigas e divergências de mundos em que vivem.

 

Drama que comove em alguns momentos, principalmente a história de Ira e Ruth, um amor daqueles que não se encontra todo dia. As dificuldades do casal emociona e o filme transcorre bem, mesmo com seus 129 minutos de duração. Filme sem grandes pretensões, mas daqueles que você sai leve do cinema, com uma sensação de que coisas boas podem acontecer.

Based on the novel of the same name written by the  blockbuster Nicholas Sparks, the film tells the story of the student Sophia (Britt Robertson) and the bulls rider Luke (Scott Eastwood, Clint's son). The two met at a rodeo and the chemistry is immediate. With very different lives – she is finishing college and has planned stage in New York in less than two months and he lives on a farm with his mother and riding bulls in rodeos — they know are unlikely to have a lasting relationship. On the night of their first date, on the road they are abetting the elderly Ira (Alan Alda) who had just hit with his car. They take the hospital and Sophia takes a box of letters that were on the car seat. She then begins to read the cards for the old man. The letters are all written by him and addressed to Ruth (Oona Chaplin) and report how they met and their married life. Luke also visits Ira in the hospital and so the two are always meeting each other. The film intersperses showing the youth of Ira (Jack Huston) and Ruth and the daily lives of the protagonists, their encounters, fights and their colliding worlds.

Drama that moves in a few moments, especially the story of Ira and Ruth, a love of those which we do not see every day. The difficulties of the couple is touchy and the movie is fine, even with its 129 minutes long. Movie without great pretensions, but one of those that makes you leave the cinema with a feeling that good things can happen.
