Irmã Dulce (filme)

Está em cartaz (em pouquíssimas salas já, depois de uma estreia morna) o filme biográfico sobre uma das mais carismáticas e emblemáticas figuras do universo religioso nacional, beatificada pelo Vaticano e indicada ao Prêmio Nobel da Paz. “Irmã Dulce” traz uma bela história de amor em movimento, ou seja, caridade. Bianca Comparato interpreta a freira jovem e à Regina Braga coube interpretá-la em idade mais avançada. Bianca está ótima, emociona em cada frase! Regina também é ótima, mas a jovem consegue nos arrepiar com tanta ternura.

O filme mostra os problemas de saúde que acompanhavam essa mulher iluminada e que nunca foram motivo para interromper seu trabalho juntos aos “seus pobres” como ela mesmo dizia. Uma guerreira, que teve que travar lutas contra outros religiosos e, principalmente, contra dogmas da Igreja católica que ela conseguiu mostrar que são frágeis demais quando se trata de amar e cuidar do próximo.

A Igreja tenta de todas as formas cercear seu trabalho, seja na figura da Madre Fausta (Malu Valle) que tenta impedir que ela abrigue no convento os flagelados e doentes que ela assistia pelas ruas e comunidades, seja na figura da alta cúpula da Igreja que decide então retirar todas as demais freiras do convento deixando-a sozinha para cuidar do hospital e da limpeza de todo o espaço. Há também uma menção à visita do Papa João Paulo II à Salvador, à qual ela não fora convidada pela Igreja, apenas conseguindo estar junto ao Papa graças a movimentação e pedidos da população, que a aclamava como o “anjo bom da Bahia”.

Uma história linda que me deixa ainda mais cético quanto a estrutura tão rígida e burocrática da Igreja Católica (às vezes, até anticristã) mas que mostra que a instituição não representa o desejo de todos os seus membros. Irmã Dulce quebrou barreiras, tabus e conseguiu dar um belíssimo exemplo de vida, em vida!

Como ela mesmo dizia, “Deus nos ensinou a amar o próximo como a si mesmo. Mas é como a si mesmo grifado. Não como a si mesmo que dá uma esmola, um pão, um café. Como a si mesmo a gente quer mais do que isso: quer amor, quer carinho. Então eu passo na rua, vejo um doente jogado... dou um pão, dou um café e vou adiante?” E ela sempre deu muito mais do que isso. Ela deu sua vida pelos necessitados. E não se vendeu aos políticos em troca de melhorias nas suas obras. Sempre cobrou posição dos outros com honra e disciplina.

Gostei muito do filme e recomendo.

It is on the theaters (in very few rooms already, after a shy debut) the biographical film about one of the most charismatic and emblematic figures of the national religious universe, beatified by the Vatican and nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. "Irmã Dulce" features a beautiful story of love in motion, namely charity. Bianca Comparato plays the young nun and Regina Braga represents her in older age. Bianca is great thrills in every sentence! Regina is also great, but the young can chill us so tenderly...

The movie shows the health problems that accompanied this woman what has never been reason to interrupt her work together with "my poor people" as she used to say. A warrior who had to wage battles against other religious and, especially, against dogmas of the Catholic Church which she managed to show that are too fragile when it comes to love and take care of the next.

The Church tries to scrimp in every way her work, whether in the figure of mother Fausta (Malu Valle) who tries to prohibit her housing in the convent the flagellates and patients that she used to look after on the streets and communities, whether on the high Church dome figures that decide to transfer all other nuns from the convent leaving her alone to care for the hospital and the cleaning of the entire space. There is also a mention of the visit of Pope John Paul II to Salvador, to which she had NOT been invited by the Church, just managing to be near the Pope thanks to handling and requests of the population, which used to acclaim her as the "good Angel of Bahia".

A beautiful story that makes me even more skeptical of such rigid and bureaucratic structure of the Catholic Church (sometimes even anti-Christian) but that shows that the institution does not represent the wishes of all its members. Sister Dulce broke barriers, taboos and has succeeded in giving a beautiful example of life, in life!

As she said, "God taught us to love your neighbor as yourself. But this as yourself underlined. Not like as yourself who gives alms, a loaf of bread, a cup of coffee. As yourself we want more than that: we want love and affection. Then if I pass on the street, I see a sick person... give a bread, give a coffee and then go ahead?" And she always gave so much more than that. She gave her life for the needy. And did not sold herself to politicians in exchange of improvements in their works. Always complained and asked for more from the others with honor and discipline.
